Go back to your WordPress dashboard and create a new page or post depending on what you want. There are two options to get started and to import your templates. First, we will look into the main option and use the Templates menu in the WordPress admin panel. After you logged into the WordPress admin panel, hover over the Templates menu and you will see new options. Next, you will be greeted with a new Elementor template selector to help you get started with what type of template you wish to create.
Now you have a file upload option. After unzipping the downloaded package you will be able to see all the available importable templates.
They will be in folders based on what type of templates they are for you to easily find what you are looking for. Navigate to page or section templates of your choice and choose the Json file you wish to import. If you wish to import in batch you can compress multiple Json files into a single zip file. This will close the modal and add the file to the importer, ready for action. When done, it will refresh the page automatically for you and you should see the imported Elementor template in your library.
Next we will look into the other way to import templates. This will be really handy when you are already editing a page or post and you do not wish to leave the editor. For the second option, I have already created a page, but I wish to add another section from the Katka Elementor Template pack without leaving the Elementor page editor. But today in this blog post I am going to discuss about the popup feature of Elementor. You can also use popups in a more useful way, for example showing the details of a team member when someone clicks on a button to read more details about a team member.
Okay let me give you a simple example to explain. Suppose you have a Team Members page or about us page, in that page you have listed down all the members of your team.
But the problem is, some of the members have more details and some have less, in the the page turns out to be really messy. Please have a look at the images below to understand what I mean. Add a new page, edit the page with Elementor, set the page layout to Elementor canvas. How to import Elementor template files (both options explained)
You can read our previous post to learn more about the usage of JetPopup. JetPopup is an Elementor add-on. An Elementor add-on itself is technically a WordPress plugin.
Once installed, you will have a new menu item on your WordPress dashboard called JetPopup. JetPopup allows you to create a new popup whether from scratch or from a template. If you prefer to create a popup from scratch, you can use a popup layout pre-made blocks on particular locations. For instance, if you want to create a popup to be displayed in the bar area, you can select the Bar layout.
Click the Create Popup button to start building your popup. After clicking the Create Popup button, you will be directed to the Elementor editor. You can build your popup on the visual editor of Elementor just when you are creating a page.
Everything is drag and drop. You can add any widget you want to your popup. Once you are done building the popup, you can open the JetPopup Settings by clicking the gear icon on the bottom-left corner.
From here, you can set the entrance animation, set the open event, and set the display condition. There are tens of popup templates offered by JetPopup. Select a template you want and click the Add button. You can filter the templates by category. You will also be directed to the Elementor editor after clicking the Add button.
Popup Builder is a feature of Elementor Pro. You need to upgrade your Elementor Free in order to be able to use this feature. Before the Elementor editor really opens, you will be taken to the template library where you can choose a popup template library.
